Participant Guidelines
Deadlines and Information for Rally for Medical Research Hill Day Participation
- All participants in the Rally for Medical Research must register by Wednesday, September 4, 2024. If a registered participant is no longer able to attend, we request that you notify us by email at info@rallyformedicalresearch.org no later than Thursday, September 12, 2024, in order to make the necessary adjustments to schedules and meetings.
- All participants should attend the Rally for Medical Research Training from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
- Participants will meet with congressional representatives from their home state and district. Participants should plan for meetings to be scheduled throughout the day, with most meetings between 9:30 am – 4:00 pm on September 19, 2024. There may be circumstances requiring earlier and/or later times.
- Unless otherwise requested, participants will be placed into groups reflecting the spectrum of medical research stakeholders and grouped according to state.
- Due to the number of different organizations participating and number of total individuals registered for the Rally for Medical Research, Soapbox Consulting will set up meetings and assist in establishing the meeting groups. Please do not contact any legislative office directly regarding your appointments unless you have discussed this with the Rally organizers. As a participant, you will receive a preliminary schedule by Monday, September 16, 2024, and your final schedule will be available the day before the Rally.
- If you have any questions or concerns or if you have strong relationships with House and Senate offices that would be helpful during the scheduling process, please notify us by email at info@rallyformedicalresearch.org. You can also note these relationships in the online registration form.
- It is highly encouraged that every registrant be vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Housing Information
Accommodations are available at the Holiday Inn Washington Capitol in Washington, D.C.
- We have arranged for a “hotel room block” for the evening of Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at a rate of $319. The hotel is located at 550 C Street S.W., Washington, D.C.
- The “Rally Hill Day” organizing breakfast also will take place at the Holiday Inn on the morning of Thursday, September 19, 2024.
