Federal funding for medical research is more important now than ever, as our nation confronts the COVID-19 crisis while continuing to make progress against hundreds of other diseases. Every September, a broad coalition of groups representing the medical research advocacy community meet with House and Senate offices in Washington, DC to urge Members of Congress to make funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) a national priority. This year, to protect the health and safety of all participants, the Rally will be held as an entirely virtual event, with meetings taking place by phone. Our goal is to have meetings scheduled with all 535 members of Congress, which would make this the biggest Rally ever!

The Rally for Medical Research was formed to raise awareness at this critical time of the urgent need for an increased investment in the NIH to improve health, spur more progress, inspire more hope, and save more lives.
